Marvel may include multiple universes across TV and film, but one thing unites them all: the Stan Lee cameo.
And “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is no exception.
Lee is an unrivaled legend in the comics world and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics. The 94-year-old icon’s comic career started back in 1939 before Marvel existed. He’s responsible for popular characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, and the X-Men.
He has subtly appeared in all manner of Marvel media, from narrating “The Incredible Hulk” TV series in 1982 to becoming a cameo staple in Marvel movies.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn had the pleasure of filming Lee’s next few Marvel cameos starting with 2016’s “Doctor Strange,” and his cameo in the latest “Guardians” just might have confirmed a fan theory that his cameos are connected. In honor of Stan the Man, we’ve compiled a list of all of his live-action (and one very special animated) cameos in Marvel projects. Keep reading to see if you can recall them all.
