Side jobs are a great way to make supplemental income, and many of them are more lucrative than you’d think.
Still, not everyone has enough spare time to pick up a part-time gig.
Luckily, there are websites that can help you earn some extra cash without much effort, according to a popular subreddit /r/Beermoney that has over 160,000 subscribers.
INSIDER took a closer look at the most commonly recommended sites based on a thread put together by the subreddit’s moderators, and rounded up the most promising ones.
If you’re looking for an easy way to make some extra money in your free time, here are the only seven sites you should check out.
Swagbucks gives you money for shopping online, watching videos, playing games, searching the web, and taking surveys.
Think of Swagbucks as a rewards program that pays you for doing what you probably already do in your spare time. It’s a well-known, trusted site that offers “a lot to do so you shouldn’t get too bored,” according to Beermoney’s moderators.
All you have to do is sign up for a free account and complete tasks to earn points, or Swag Bucks. The exchange rate is 100 Swag Bucks for $1, and you can redeem Swag Bucks for Amazon gift cards or cash out via PayPal.
Swagbucks also offers various mobile apps that you can use to earn $25 or more every month, just for running (i.e., opening but not actually watching) videos. “You make around [$0.50 to $1] a day off this depending on how good the app is,” says Reddit user Aino23.
Like Swagbucks, EarnHoney also gives you money for watching videos, playing games, shopping online, and taking surveys.
The site gives you Honey Dollars for completing their “entertainment activities,” which you can redeem for gift cards or cash out via PayPal or direct deposit. The exchange rate is 100 Honey Dollars for $1, and you can get 5 free Honey Dollars every day just for logging into your account.
Reddit user Aino23 suggests running EarnHoney at night while you’re sleeping: “Makes around $1 a day doing this. If you have a PC/Laptop that you are not using this is probably worth running all day on there. Could probably make about $3-$4 dollars a day off it.”
InstaGC gives you money for visiting websites, doing tasks, and watching videos and lets you cash out whenever you want.
To earn the most money possible, you probably want to use many of the sites on this list at once. Reddit users like InstaGC, or Instant Gift Cards, because it has a reputation for being one of the easiest money-making sites with “one of the lowest payout minimums.”
For example, you can get $1 gift cards on InstaGC every time you rack up 100 points whereas the lowest gift card amount on Swagbucks is $3.
Beermoney’s moderators suggest visiting websites every day on InstaGC to earn some easy points. Reddit user Aino23, who makes around $1.50 to $2 every day on the site, says, “Pretty easy money for doing basically nothing except sometimes checking to see if the website crashed.”
If you’re in the US, Bing Rewards will give you money just for searching the web with Bing.
Microsoft’s rewards program lets you earn points by using Bing as your search engine or shopping the Windows, Xbox, and Microsoft stores. You can then redeem your points for gift cards, Skype credits, apps, movies, and more.
GiftHulk is a rewards program that is similar to Swagbucks, but you can cash out via Bitcoin.
Like Swagbucks and Earnhoney, Gifthulk gives you money for completing surveys, searching the web, shopping online, playing games, and more.
The exchange rate on this site is 1,000 Hulk Coins for $1, and you can earn up to 600 Hulk Coins just by using Beermoney’s referral link. Beermoney’s moderators also suggest playing the card-guessing game every day.
Some Reddit users have made up to $80 in three weeks using Gifthulk.
According to some Reddit users, CashCrate is a great website that pays well.
CashCrate gives you money for completing surveys, watching videos, and making referrals. The site has a $20 minimum payout and sends you a check once a month.
Reddit user VaivainenSiili, who makes $120 per month on CashCrate, says: “For countries like UK, US, and [Canada], you can get up to $15 or even $20 in a day if you happen to get good offers … CashCrate must be my favorite site I use, since it is the most profitable GPT [get paid to] site I know.”
PrizeRebel is another highly recommended Get-Paid-To site that seems to pay well.
PrizeRebel gives you money for taking surveys, completing tasks, and watching videos. You can redeem points for Bitcoins and gift cards or cash out via PayPal and direct deposit.
