Apple’s voice assistant Siri has faced some serious competition in recent years from Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, among others.
Beyond setting alarms, calling your friends, and telling the occasional sarcastic joke, however, Siri can do a lot more than you probably think.
To showcase Siri at its best, Apple enlisted the help of actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a new short called “The Rock x Siri Dominate the Day” that debuted on YouTube Monday morning — and it already has one million views and counting.
While the commercial might not be the “craziest, dopest, most over-the-top … movie ever,” as The Rock teased on Sunday in a Facebook post, it does feature an impressive range of tricks.
In the three minutes and 45 seconds that the ad runs, you see The Rock hail a Lyft, read his email, take a selfie in space, travel to Rome, review a “life goals” list, and wear the many hats of a chef, musician, pilot, bonsai artist, and fashion designer — all thanks to some hands-free help from Siri.
“You should never, ever, under any circumstances, underestimate how much Dwayne Johnson can get done in a day with Siri. Follow the world’s busiest actor and Siri as they dominate the day,” Apple said in a caption for the commercial on YouTube, which you can watch below.
